Send us your wildflower photos!

Wildflower4Families accepts digital pictures, stories and scans of artwork for publication on this website.

We especially love to see submissions from children under age 14. We run occasional contests. Check this page frequently!

Your submission has to be your own. Parent can submit material on behalf of children under age 12. Send your work to info@Wildflowers4Families.org  with the subject line ‘submission.’

Please let us know where you found the wildflower you photographed, coloured, or sketched. If you are sending a story about a wildflower hunt, include careful instructions on how to get to the trail. Important: list the field guide, book, or other source of information, if you used one to find the trail or flower. Wildflowers4Families may need to obtain copyright permission.

Submission guidelines for YOUR wildflower photo, art and/or hike story

All submissions need to be clearly labeled with the artist’s/ author’s name, age (if under age 15), address and e-mail. If you are submitting multiple pages, add your name and contact information on each separate page.

Please, give us your phone number so we can verify your submission. We can not post your story or art without your written consent (by email).

NOTE: Wildflowers4Families can not return your artwork. ONLY send a digital copy of your creation. We can not be held responsible for lost or damaged submissions.

Wildflower art work needs to be scanned and be submitted as a PDF file or Word file. Generally, we suggest the work should not be larger than 8.5x11.

Wildflower photos need to be submitted as a Jpeg or other software compatible with Microsoft Office or Photoshop.

Stories should be typed, double-spaced and can’t exceed 750 to 1,000 words. On the top of the page, tell us where you hiked. Add time of day, time of year, length of walk, and other important information other hikers need if they wish to go on this walk. If you can, tell us how to get to the trail head and the general condition of the path.

Hikes tips…? We gladly post information about great places to walk and hike, especially if the path offers opportunity to see wildflowers. Please give clear instructions on how to get to the trail, the general condition of the path (length, difficulty, and other things you think hikers want to know.)
